june bucket : in review

Oh, June. So short. So speedy. Here’s the recap from June’s bucket list:

+ land a job (anyone need a blogger? a baker? a nice picture-taker? how about a magazine-fiend? a productivity-machine? a cheesehead who bleeds gold and green? I can do all of those things!) SO done. I am replete with employment.

+ draw straws, select a name from a hat, throw a dart on the map…do anything necessary to decide on a geographic location in which to plant myself for AT LEAST 2 years. this nomad is growing weary of constant movement. Also done…albeit initially against my will (see aforementioned post).

+ this season’s first public market trip – Oh how I wish I could cross this one off. But no dice. Consider it a casualty of wedding season…my Saturday morning market availability has decreased substantially.

+ go to open face for lunch. Done, and repeated once more for good measure.

+ i’ve heard wonderful things about good luck – a dinner visit is officially on the list! – This one was so close to happening! But as it turns out Good Luck is only open Wed-Sun, and we had plans to go on a Monday. Since I’m now officially staying in Rochester though, this will happen sooner or later. Hopefully sooner!

+ another recipient of recent raves: parkleigh – Yep. Also not done. Man, these bucket lists are going down in flames lately!

+ i’m in a workout rut. it’s time to mix things up (using these awesome suggestions from carrots ‘n’ cake) – Unless you consider not working out mixing things up…then no.

+ just say no to sugary snacking after dinner/dessert. opting for healthy food at night makes for better evenings AND better morning workouts! win-win. – I think this happened twice. Sugar is my nemesis.

At least the big ticket items were completed. Not so much for the little guys. Next time around. But since I achieved 3/8 AND went to Open Face twice we’ll call it 4/8 and an even 50/50. (And we’ll also add being generous with grace to the unofficial June bucket.)

Stay tuned next week for July’s bucket list!
