the 25 days of christmas : [day 10] : new tunes

December 10, 2010

By and large, I believe that Christmas music should be governed by the adage “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.” There’s really no reason to go messing around with the perfection that is traditional Christmas music. However, after Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree a few hundred times it can be nice to spice things up with a bit of variety.

If your mid-season Christmas playlist has hit a lull, hop on over to Relevant’s Christmas Mix 2010. Not only do they list their picks for the top 25 Christmas songs of the year, they also provide all of the songs available for free online streaming right on the same page! It really couldn’t be any simpler to add some zip-a-dee-do-dah to your ho-ho-hum.

AND…since somehow the past 100 posts have flown by and this is already the 300th post…leave your favorite Christmas song in the comments section for your chance to win an extra present for your stocking!!! (The elves are still working on a prototype so the present will be a surprise to one and all.) The winner will be selected at random and announced on Tuesday, so comment it up by the strike of midnight on 12/13 for your chance to win!
