the founding fathers of a good trip

July 19, 2010

The end of the week in San Diego was just as wonderful as the beginning. It was founded on the cornerstones of the trip: sunshine and food.

There were more trips to the beach…

and of course the aforementioned sunset.

And there was a LOT more food, including Kono’s famous gigantic breakfast burrito (which we waited 45 minutes for…and it was worth every minute and them some!)…

and the classy and beautiful George’s on the Cove…

and yet another visit to this fine establishment…

And since life exists beyond seafood and the seashore, we threw in a few new adventures too. We visited the center of Swedish commerce…

and a beautiful cancer survivor’s park…

and a coffee house around the corner from Point Loma…

And in the blink of an eye we were back in New York again, suffering from sunset withdrawal and humidity overload.

I could end the San Diego posts here, but because I’m me I’ll be posting a list of San Diego favorites (you knew a list was coming at some point) before wrapping up the Golden State chronicles for good. See you all tomorrow for one more day of California dreamin!
