…the monthly bucket list…
It’s a well known fact that the list is my favorite organizational entity…to the point of overuse. Exhaustion, really. At any one time I can be counted on to have multiple lists stashed away in multiple places about multiple topics. What can I say? I have an unashamed love of all things productive.
While daily and weekly lists run amok and a life list of big-ticket items constantly grows in a Word document, I’ve rarely had a tangible month-based list of seasonal things to do. (While I’m shocked that this was overlooked, you’re probably shocked that a monthly list is even a recognized need. It’s ok. I understand. The level of freak I’ve ascended (or descended) to is shocking indeed.)
And so a new list was born, with a new blog page to boot: the monthly bucket list!
Here’s the July edition:
+ write down a meaningful verse from each morning’s bible reading to keep close throughout the day
+ eat nectarines, corn on the cob, pulled pork, and soft serve twists with rainbow sprinkles
+ read this month’s whole living, martha stewart living, food network, food & wine, and everyday food (potentially on lunch breaks at work)
+ take 15 – 20 new pictures that are just for the personal enjoyment of photography
+ work out 4 days a week; go to yoga once a week
+ blog!
+ keep up with google reader (possibly while winding down at night before bed)
+ go somewhere (anywhere!) outside of Rochester for a one day vacation
+ make a summer dessert and invite friends over to share it
+ skype with my parents once a week
+ serve other people – whether that means volunteering or just doing random acts of kindness – and keep a healthy perspective on things that actually matter
+ spend carefree time in the sunshine, enjoying summer, once a week

Congratulations on getting the website up and running! It’s incredible! I’m so proud of you, my friend! :)
